Growing Community through Leadership Glades

December 28, 2017 2:15 pm

Recently, Ashley Hooker and Jayna Levins of our Belle Glade office, have  members of Leadership Glades. Leadership Glades is a program done through the Belle Glade Chamber of Commerce that allows them to tour and learn from different local companies each month around their area.

The goal of this program is for their “participants [to] explore critical issues through a series of seminars and related activities. Interaction with key decision-makers, experts, community leaders, and representatives of local government assists participants in better understanding the forces that impact their business, community, and daily lives.” They believe that the key to protect and grow their community is my having well-informed citizens.

The following pictures are from when they went to Okeelanta Corporation in the beginning of October. They brought Leadership Glades’ members into the field and allowed them to see the Harvester Machines cutting sugar cane.

More information about Leadership Glades and how to apply can be found at: http://www.leadershipglades.com/about_us.html
